Portfolio 2

Criteria A

This portfolio addresses the issue of the effect of online shopping on computers particularly in businesses and employment. Countless people all over the world go online shopping on a daily basis. Online shopping is a form of shopping that utilizes technology and is a method for consumers that they must undergo in order to purchase their products or other services. It helps the consumer to acquire these things in the comfort of their homes or other places such as offices or any other place that has computers and internet.

Some of the most crucial IT systems involved in the process of online shopping are computers and the internet. Online shopping is and electronic commerce. Although it can be useful, many people have abused this by shopping in their workforces using office computers. Many concerns have risen about online shopping interfering with the quality of work people produce, especially in offices. Online shopping can also put office computers as risk, because you are accessing unsecured sites which can have programs such as spy ware and hack into the offices systems and obtain confidential information about companies. “Workers with office computers who participate in year-end gift giving report said they will do one-third of their gift shopping online, up from about a quarter a year ago, according to a Business Software Alliance survey. Of those who will shop online, one-third will do some or most of their online shopping from their work computer, compared with 28 percent who did so last year, the BSA found.” (Reed, Audrey)

As people continue to shop online daily using office computers, their company’s privacy and financial well being is prone to be jeopardized. In order for its popularity to continue laws should be established and implemented to prohibit individuals from shopping online during work hours and within the company offices.

This is very simple. You need to develop analysis and be more formal in your writing.
